And then day two and three and four...

Everyday seems to be a little better...
Mostly we love the  new outfits though! :)
And our hour in the mornings together just us is pretty great.

One morning our Aven friend stopped by with his momma!

And on day 3 I started college. Just a couple of classes, but they are keeping me more busy than I wanted that's for sure! I cannot believe the work load! Yikes! I don't know that I'm gonna get any writing done this semester which is kind of sucky.
This was part... not even all of my homework after day 2.

Feeding the teams

I didn't get any pictures of the women's team meal... dang!
But here are a few from the men's.
And the first few... of my kids are because they were so stinking helpful!! Holy moly. Monday we fed the girls, I went shopping for food at 10, got home at 11, unpacked, ate lunch and started cooking at 12... I didn't finish until they arrived at 5:45. And then the next day I got to do it all over again. And my boys were so super helpful. They cleaned and brought up chairs and tables. I couldn't have done it without them!

Alumni

The first game of every season is the Alumni game. My kids were excited to go--well the littles, Tim was at work... and he wouldn't have been excited. haha.

Seth asked and asked about Phil, this guy who played for Jeff a couple years ago. Seth loved him and was so excited to see him. He stood on the sidelines and yelled his name over and over again but Phil never heard him. It was all good though, Seth drew him a picture and caught up with him eventually!

TP... Again

Jeff's sophomores TPed our house again and then the freshman came, were blamed and cleaned it up.

Maddie teased Sydney and made her cry and was teased relentlessly about it for days afterwards. But when we fed the girls a few days later Sydney and Maddie became best of friends. In fact Sydney took Maddie into her room and I forgot Maddie was even at our house still--they were in there so long!

Alice in Wonderland

My kids all had friends in the WWCC's summer kids play, Alice in Wonderland. So, of course we went! Aiden, Tegan, Bailey, Taysum... they all did great! I love how proud my kids are of their buddies.

We love WWCC soccer!

We really do.
Jeff is the busiest man on the planet these days. Coaching not only the men's team, but the women's as well. It's been such a fun and different experience and I think both of us would actually love to continue on with both teams, did he not have to work his full time job. It's just so so so so much. On Landon's birthday we had school open houses and Jeff has such a short window to come home between practices. We literally saw him for 18 minutes. We shoved birthday dinner and gifts into 18 minutes and then he missed singing and pie.
He comes home from 6-6:40 and that's when we eat as a family and read scriptures and have prayer.
We're making it.
It's fine.
But it's a lot. And most of all for Jeff. It's been hard not having him home, not having his help with kids and family stuff. But he's trying really hard to be here when he can. And he's working really hard.
I pray Heavenly Father will grant him strength every single day, because he needs it greatly. And then we support, as much as we can. And we try not to complain, because of course we miss him, of course our lives are harder with him not here, but that won't change what is and it doesn't help him at all.
I'm really grateful for a husband who works so very hard. Who loves his job and gives it a million percent, especially at this time when they needed his help so much, but who also wants to be with us. And misses us.

Nets and paint

I am certain no one-- not his assistant, not the teams, not the AD--no one has any idea how stinking hard this man works for the WWCC soccer programs. He loves them. He wants them to be successful and professional and the best they can be. And HE is the man who makes sure that happens. He has spent his summer-- sleepless, working his tail off to get play books, coaches books, team books, purchasing, planning, schedules set, everything ready for not one team, but two!!!

And on top of all that HE is the one to mark and paint the field and put up the nets... pretty sure the basketball coach has never been asked to wax the court...
He does it all. He gets paid very minimal. And he's really good at it. He's amazing. And I am super proud of him.

And occasionally I help him out. :)
Which is why he calls me his favorite assistant coach!

Parade of Lights

I was hoping to have a lot more pictures than just this. I was hoping to actually attend the parade! Poor Sethy boy was sick and though we'd all been invited to walk in the parade with the Mustang Men's Soccer team, Seth, Sydney and I stayed home. These cute boys went and had a dandy time.

Soccer Christmas Party

Jeff had an ugly sweater party for his soccer players. We gave them a disc with their pictures on it- the ones I took. There were a lot of pictures! :)

Nationals

Jeff and his team spent the last 9 days in Albany Georgia. He ate grits and went to the beach. :) And played 2 pretty fantastic games!

Here we are watching the first game online. They played Darton, the hosting team as well as the #1 team in the country. Darton hadn't lost a game and they let few teams even score on them! We lost this game, but played really well and we did score on them!
The second game was against Western Texas and we beat them in shootouts after a tie.

We missed our daddy sooo much! We were all super anxious to have him home. The kids made a welcome home sign for their daddy-o.
I am so glad that he got the chance to go to Nationals and I'm so proud of him for doing so well. But I am even more happy to have him back home. :)
