Dad's Christmas Visit

 Dad came the day after Christmas. He brought a giant RC Monster Truck for the boys and he had sent to us for Syd a car for her to drive. He's always wanted to get one for one of his grandkids and Sydney got to be the lucky girl to get it. She LOVED it too!

 She named the car Charlie and I think the best part was watching Jeff go out with her every so often so she could drive and then when it got late and she wanted to go... he brought Charlie inside! haha!! She drove down the hall and in the living room and it came with a remote control so Seth drove her around a bit too.

 The boys had a blast with the Monster truck. Dad was just a big kid playing with Seth. They had the truck driving over their legs and they were cracking up.

I love this last picture. I love how she's looking at him.

It's kind of-- come on gramps you know you wanna play pop the pig. --which he did. :)

Donuts with Grand Dad

I'm so thankful for my sweet dad. When it was time for Donuts with Dad at Seth's school he knew his dad couldn't go, but didn't want to take just anyone. He asked me if Grandpa could go with him. I asked my dad and he was more than happy to come.

Oranges

Dad came for Christmas and about an hour before dinner Sydney and Grandpa ate 4 oranges!! The Youngs had brought us a bag for Christmas and they didn't leave many. They were pretty cute.

Grandpa's Gift

My dad was so proud of Tim for getting his Eagle. He said that Tim is the first one in our family to do that. He wanted to do something special for him, so he bought him this beautiful offical Scout rifle.

Tim was really surprised and so excited.

The Derby!

He came to watch the boys race their cars and to get some love'n from his girl.

And Landon earned his WEBELO!!! Yay! We're so proud of him! Now on to his arrow of light! 

And then the races began!

Mr. Seth didn't have a whole lot of luck (he lost every race :/) But I was so proud of him. The last couple of months we have been working really heard on him having a good attitude. Sometimes he gets too competitive and he hates to lose! But he was such a good sport! So kind and so happy!--even when it was hard for him to be. 

Landon ended up in 2nd place for the WEBELOS.

Sydney & Grandpa

Sydney loves her Papa.

He stayed with us two nights and she thought that was fabulous. Grandpa read her all kinds of stories and tickled her arms and belly. He'd lightly tickle one arm (just like he did to me, when I was little) and then she'd hand him her other arm. :)

They're pretty good buddies.

Tree #1

My dad brought us his and my mom's fake tree last week. He and Mom bought a really beautiful tree back in 2000. Dad doesn't put it up anymore and since I wanted a tree for our basement this year, he gave it to us. 

It took Dad and Jeff to put it together. 

Then the boys helped spread out the branches
