Snow... snow... snow... snow... and oh yeah, more snow....

 We live in Wyoming... we know snow. Lots and lots of snow. However, in more than 20 years Rock Springs hasn't had a snow day... until today.

SNOW DAY!
It snowed so much and then it all froze... like -30ish degrees. Even the next day when school was back in session the buses were all frozen and half the kids in town couldn't get to school anyway. It has been crazy. Kinda fun, but crazy. And super cold.

 Then we boiled some water and made our own snow! It was pretty awesome too.

Cold

 We haven't had a ton of snow, but it has been cold. The streets were literally ice!!

Playing hooky in the snow

In the 16 years that Jeff has been teaching he has never--never just taken a day off. It was a teacher work day and his department wasn't doing anything he needed to be there for, so for the first time--he did it! He took the day off. They went out and built a snow man in our crazy insane tons of spring snow.

Outside

It has been so cold, so one glimpse of a not so freezing day and these kids were outside! It was still waaay too cold for their momma, but they sure had fun!

Christmas Eve sledding

The weather was so cooperative this Christmas Eve. It's one of our favorite traditions, but we don't always get to do it. Some years there's no snow. Some years it's negative ten. This year was perfect!! We had great snow--so much happy Christmas snow and beautiful weather.
We had a blast!
