The Band and a little Penelope

 It's a terrible pic... but Seth, Syd and I formed a band. We rocked out. We may go on the road, who knows.

This kid was telling me goodnight, I was already in bed, but watching the movie Penelope. He's always been my boy who would watch old movies with  me--Doris Days, Debbie Reynolds and then a good chick lit too. He snuggled up to me and an hour later finally went to bed.

I seriously love this girl.

And she seriously loves her Barbie's.

I love that smile.

I love that face.

I love her beautiful little voice and funny, sweet words.

 

She knows just how to get to me.

Just the other day she asked me to play Barbie's with her.

I was pooped after hours of meetings and ready to lay down. So, I kind of brushed off her Barbie request with a "mommy's tired now". And then she said exactly the right thing- undenounced to her, she said, "Spend time with me, Mom."

Exactly what I needed to hear.

Sleep could wait.

Barbie's could not. 

Lagoon!!!!!!!!!!

We surprised the kids by taking them to Lagoon! We were so excited to see their reaction and because we didn't tell them, they were almost confused until we walked through the doorway. We had such a fun day together.

Sydney went from being afraid of every ride other than the super kiddie rides (she was even afraid of puff the dragon kiddie coaster) the first hour to being a huge dare devil. She wanted to ride everything!! And when we went over to the new coaster, The Cannibal--seriously crazy ride, she sobbed and sobbed because she wasn't tall enough.

This is where my discount tickets no longer mattered... Jeff's phone was the casualty of this ride. Not even a year old, no where near paid for and toast. Dead. Kapoot.  

Syd did not want to ride this one and she was pretty irritated with us when she ended up soaked.

I think our family favorite was the Rattle Snake Rapids. It was the longest line we stood in, but so much fun and we were all together.

Kings in the Corner

For our last FHE activity I taught my boys to play Kings in the Corner. The game my grandma Bessie always played with me. I love that game. And my guys loved it too. It feels like I'm helping them to get to know their great grandmother in some small way.

Park Day

With our big boys enjoying a day in SLC and at the temple we decided to take the little kiddos to the park. Seth's been wanting to play baseball and Sydney loves the park.

Hello Kitty Kite

Sydney finally got to fly her kitty kite!

And then her daddy flew it too! :)

I love her personality.
I love her imagination.
She is so one of a kind!
One of her most favorite things to pretend is that we are sisters and as sisters we often fight... not just an argument, but fist fighting. haha! We sure have fun together!
