Landon the teenager

He's taller than me.
His voice isn't a child's anymore.
His feet are huge.
His up and down hormones are proof he is truly a teen.
And I can't hardly believe it.
I really don't understand how time can speed up the way it does. This young man in my mind is still a little boy most of the time.
He's still loving and helpful and kind--he's just got a little more teenager in him these days.

Family History

Landon was doing family history the other night. We haven't really done any work on Jeff's side--I can't under my account, so he went on under Grandpa Bruce's side and it was pretty exciting! Green temple after green temple showed up and then the kids gathered around him to watch him file all our families names into the reserved slot!
We love family history!!

Turning my House into a Jungle Gym

I catch this scene... often lately... He thinks it's pretty awesome being tall. ...the taller the better...

Winter Campout

12 inches of snow came just in time for Landon's winter campout! That boy is skin and bones, it made me nervous, so I bought him a gazillion hand warmers to shove in his shoes and pockets. Brother Hayes is such a great leader. He sent me all these pictures.

November Student of the Month

Landon was the student of the month in November! Which means for the rest of the year he gets to go see a movie once a month and bring his family. November's movie: Finding Dory!
I love this boy. He works hard and he is very helpful and kind.

Me and the Landon

I love this kid.
Life has been pretty busy. Jeff is gone all the time and the boys are busy.... just busy. Somehow, at one time I remembered... but it's been a month since this day actually happened, (Poo to my lack of blogging lately) everyone was gone and busy, yeah, even Syd, except me and Landon. So, we had dinner at home just the two of us.
I'm sure glad I love my children. I love spending time with them. I love the very rare one on one dinner. :)

Band concert

It was so fun watching Landon play in his first Junior High band concert. He's grown so much and he loves the trumpet!

13!

This cutie! 13!! He is so excited to be a teenager! I'm not sure I am! He's growing up so fast.

Gifts from his siblings. :)
The day of Landon's birthday was also the day of our dear friend Jason's funeral. With my family and Jeff's family being friends of the Crompton's we had a lot of family come through. It was nice for Landon to see them on his special day.

Grandma has shoes on... I think he's got her!
While we went to the funeral, Samantha took care of my Lando. She picked up friends and took the boys to the Rec Center and then kept Sydney at her house. I was so grateful. I wanted Landon to have a great day, but we could not miss Jason's funeral. I'm grateful she helped me make sure both could happen.

Café Rio for dinner and his new mug from Tim.

And then Pie in the Face!

Landon is a pretty exceptional person. I love him so much. I'm so grateful he is a part of our family.
