Tanner
Sweet Kim has been talking about taking me to Colorado for a few years. But we've never done it. This year we made it.
12 years ago Kim and Ken were adopting a baby boy. That baby had complications during his birth and only lived 5 days. I can't imagine such a hard trial. Trying to adopt only to lose the baby. Needless to say they were devastated.
Since the adoption had never actually gone through, the baby was never theirs. The birth mom gave the baby a name and her family buried him.
We drove the 4.5 hours to Fruita Colorado and part of the way I read a binder Kim had kept with everything concerning baby Tanner. Their adoption application, letters, pictures, even a talk from Tanner's funeral. It was a beautiful and sad little tribute memorabilia. But she'd never been to the gravesite.

Primary auxiliary training 2016
We had our annual training this last Saturday. We work so hard on it and then just pray that people will actually come. No one really wants to go to these things... so we bribe them with food and then I texted them all half a dozen reminders and in the end it paid off. We had 21 of our 30 sisters there, which was pretty awesome and all of our wards were represented!
I talked about having a Christ centered primary this year.
Renee is my secretary and seriously an amazing woman. She does so very much and I couldn't be more grateful. I love her. I love what she brings to our presidency. We would not be the same without her.
Teresa and Kim. 2nd and 1st counselors. They work so hard! I love them. I feel so blessed to have them and for all of their efforts. Teresa makes up beautiful notes and little gifts to give to our presidencies every quarter. She is so thoughtful! And Kim has learned everything she can about Scouting and has brought so much support and love to our presidencies surrounding this area that often stresses sisters out. They are the best!
I am so blessed to get to work with these wonderful women!

In between conferences...
On Saturday in between conference sessions we ran over to the college for free day. Jeff's soccer players dressed up like all the schools mascots and then they had a dance off. So funny!
We had some friends over during the priesthood session of conference. Sydney has been asking to play with Bailey again and again and again...

Girls Talk
Girls Night.
Fara had us over to play games and Heidi brought Girls Talk.
I got Girls Talk for my 10th birthday. It was 4th grade. Kristy Black gave it to me and she was so excited about it she said, "Let's play it right now!" I still had gifts to open, so I said something like, "In a minute" or "When I'm done." She said, "No, now, or I'll take it back." So, we stopped the gifts and played Girls Talk.
I have to say, it was way more fun to play with my grown up girlfriends.
Heidi had to do push ups and I had to cry real tears...
Fara had to walk backwards holding on to her ankles and dance with a broom.
Heidi had to show us her crossfit squat and I had to make up a dance... I called it the Golden Boob... which is another story. :)
And ta-da! I won. :)

fish BOWL
Kim got a few girls together to celebrate my birthday--->she's so sweet. :) We went bowling and it was a blast. We laughed so hard my gut hurt.
I had the coolest shoes.
Strike!!!
We seriously laughed so much. It was so much fun.
Heidi is a crazy bowler... running, jumping, falling on her butt... bowler... It was super entertaining to watch.
Stacey.... wax on, wax off. :)
The one guy working there came over and asked us all if we'd like a fish bowl. We all just looked at him confused. I think he wanted to join our fun. We were loud and laughing our cans off. Anyway, I told him we didn't know what that was. He said, It's a lot of straws and a lot of liquor. I told him, We don't do liquor. But it was funny! Obviously we didn't need it to have fun!
