Easter Morning

Easter.
This time of year is precious to me.
I am so thankful for my beautiful Savior, for His Atonement, for His love for his people. I'm thankful that because of Him I will see my mother again. I will have my family forever.

We got to spend Easter with Grandma and Grandpa Atkinson. We were so happy to be there with them. Sydney got to wake her brothers up Easter morning.

I love when these sweet boys play together.

The Easter Bunny hid 121 eggs. And these kids had a ball finding them!

Easter Best

Somehow I coerced Sydney into letting me curl her hair for Easter. She wasn't thrilled. But in the end she liked her curls... not enough to want me to ever do it again.

I am having a hard time with how huge this kids are getting. They are so adorable and again, way too big.

These two pictures are semi out of place here--except sweet grandma looked so pretty in her Easter best too.

Dying Easter Eggs

Growing up I loved dying Easter eggs with my family. Until the my very last Easter at home, we sat around the table and dyed our eggs in mugs. I pretty much do exactly that with my little family. And I still love it.

Family selfie time... my non-smiling husband has without trying taught all of my sons not to smile for the camera. I might have to shave his eye brows off in the middle of the night.

And then Sydney was certain she needed to be the one to take our selfie. Not to bad. :)

Easter surprises

Mrs. Heidi was her favorite... even before she got this super surprise. We opened up the door the other morning and saw this sweet basket filled with all kinds of goodies!

She named her bunny Hoppy and she named the chick, which she called for a while a penguin, Bo. :)

And then one fantastically fun school Easter party!
I love this beautiful girl so much. We've had fun talking about Easter all month. She's talked so much about the bunny and so I've talked her little ear off about our Savior and what he's done for us. And bless her, she's listened. She's also told me--but Mom I like the bunny. And I assured her that's okay, but when we think about Easter, we think about Jesus first.
