Sibling Selfie

I love my siblings so much. We often have a sibling group text going. And every once in a while someone will text: "sibling selfie time" and we all send one in, where ever we are in the moment.

Dixie Chicks

Yes!!! My sweet Eryn was dancing at a football game the night of this, so a week before the Dixie Chicks concert Becky asked me if I'd like her ticket. And I so so so did!!! Yay!! So. Much. Fun.

My new favorite Chicks song: Easy Silence. So beautiful!

The Chicks were amazing- Earl needs to die was so much fun and then they played a Prince song and I got to spend the night with two of my favorite girls! Such a great night!
We got back to E around 2 in the morning and Tim's birthday was the next day so I needed to buy a few things for his cake... so we hit Wal-mart at 2am and crazily that was a blast too.

Deli book signing

My sister's friends own my favorite place to eat in Evanston- Main Street Deli. YUM! Becky set up a book signing for me there. It went so well--and mostly due to my sister. It's such a testament to how many people know and love Becky. The majority came because of her! But we've gotten some good feed back of the book afterwards. :) It was a really fun signing. I loved spending the day with my sister and selling books is a bonus!

Rip's Book Signing

I am so thankful for supportive family and friends. Becky and Dad came to my Rip's signing. Beck stayed and helped and I sold twice as many books with her telling her friends and people that came in about them.

Love this sweet friend of mine. She's always so kind and so supportive.
One of my families oldest friends, Carol Holmes. She's such a sweet gal and I have so many fond memories growing up of her.

Grandma's Chair

Years ago.
Like probably 20 years ago I got this chair for my sister. It was our Grandma Bessie's chair. And after she died it sat on the side of her house, rusting in the cold and snow.
Becky once mentioned that she'd love to have it. And Becky being just about my favorite person on the planet I made it my mission to get it. I asked Dad about it, but he said I'd have to talk to Wayne since he owned the house now. I have never been very familiar with Uncle Wayne--we weren't exactly friends. In fact he made me nervous. So calling Uncle Wayne was a frightening prospect. But it was for Becky. So, I did it.
Now, Uncle Wayne is a bit of a hoarder--or at least his wife is and when I asked if I could have the chair he said to me- It isn't worth anything. I told him I knew that, but I wanted it just the same. He gave me an I guess type of answer and that was all I needed. I hung up with him and in the ice and cold head to Front Street to Grandma's house. The chair was frozen in the ground and it was really difficult getting it out. In fact my memory is hazy, but I think I had to come back for Dad to help me. We got it out and I took it to Becky's house. She was so surprised! And then I left her with this frozen rusted chair! haha. It was white originally. But it was in pretty rough shape. I never knew what Beck did with it. I had forgotten about it quite honestly. This last weekend when we were together, she made me shut my eyes and she brought it out to surprise me. She refinished it! I was so excited to see it and to sit in Grandma's chair.

Women's Conference

Becky invited me to a women's conference in Evanston. The kids and I drove to Evanston Friday night and stayed with dad. We watched old movies and looked at pictures. And had a fun night.
The next morning Landon, Seth and Sydney went to Aunt Becky's to play with Eryn and Beck and I headed to the High School.
They served breakfast. Lunch lady/Kay Bell delicious cinnamon rolls! Mmm! I've never perfected them, but yum they're good.

Mary Nickles from 2News was the keynote speaker and she was so good! So fun and positive. She's an anchorwoman, wife, mom, cancer survivor and she told us all about her family and her journey and the power of positivity.

It was so fun to see a few old friends too! My friend LornaJayne was there and so were a few of my Rock Springs friends.

Becky and I got these locket rings. They're super cute and open with a space for a picture, but don't run your hand through your hair, you'll pull out a few strands!
The Six Sisters were also there! Well, three of them. They were so fun and cute and we had a super nice little chat, they all took a business card and said they wanted to check out my book. :)

Build a Bear

Sydney had a doctor appointment in Utah. So, Aunt Becky played hookie and came with us! We went to build a bear where Aunt Beck spoiled Sydney rotten for her birthday!
She's so lucky to have an Auntie who loves her so much!

Making her wish on  her bears heart.
(That sort of sounds creepy when I write it out. hahaha)

She loved washing her bear. :)

But this was her favorite. Fashion show!! She just kept bringing Aunt Becky more clothes to try on. And then she was certain she needed a bed and a cell phone and sun glasses--and apparently she did, because we came home with it all.

She also got a bear-carrier back pack that she loved, but she thought the "house" was too cool, so she wanted to go out with everything in it!
We gave her a bunch of name options. She liked Tiana and Kaytie Bear, but in the end she picked Kaytie bear. :)

LAUNCH DAY!

I was super excited... and nervous for my launch day party. Penny and Jay were so kind and happy to have it at Cowboy Donuts. Becky was so sweet to have shirts made and come over. Fara and Heidi were there the whole time and happy to help out.
I was so nervous we'd be see sitting there with a mound of books and nothing to do. And it wasn't like that at all. People were so kind and so supportive. It started at 12 and the first people there (The Duckawitz's) got there at 11:30. We had a line from then until 1:30! I couldn't believe it! It was amazing! I felt so very loved. :)

Jeff and the kids were there for most of it. Jeff took the kids home after a while, but came back. :)

These sweet ladies brought me this gift. Amy made this wreath from pages of the ARC book I gave her! So cool!!

This is Lyn Conoway. I was her student aide in her special education class room my Senior year in High School. That year changed my life. I studied special education in college because of that class. She was so sweet to come over.

It really was such a happy day! :)
