Ken and Kim went on a couples trip and Cutler kid's grandma stayed with them for the week. But when she had to go and Ken and Kim weren't home yet, we got them for a night! My kids were thrilled! We don't do sleepovers so a slumber party with some of their best buds was a fun surprise!! They had a blast! They played and played and stayed up way too late being silly and having fun. So glad we could help our friends and make some memories!
We live in Wyoming... we know snow. Lots and lots of snow. However, in more than 20 years Rock Springs hasn't had a snow day... until today.
SNOW DAY! It snowed so much and then it all froze... like -30ish degrees. Even the next day when school was back in session the buses were all frozen and half the kids in town couldn't get to school anyway. It has been crazy. Kinda fun, but crazy. And super cold.
Then we boiled some water and made our own snow! It was pretty awesome too.
Dad came the day after Christmas. He brought a giant RC Monster Truck for the boys and he had sent to us for Syd a car for her to drive. He's always wanted to get one for one of his grandkids and Sydney got to be the lucky girl to get it. She LOVED it too!
She named the car Charlie and I think the best part was watching Jeff go out with her every so often so she could drive and then when it got late and she wanted to go... he brought Charlie inside! haha!! She drove down the hall and in the living room and it came with a remote control so Seth drove her around a bit too.
The boys had a blast with the Monster truck. Dad was just a big kid playing with Seth. They had the truck driving over their legs and they were cracking up.
I love this last picture. I love how she's looking at him.
It's kind of-- come on gramps you know you wanna play pop the pig. --which he did. :)
The high school let the kids dress up, but not on Halloween, so Tim was a big rebel and dressed up both days. On Halloween he wore this, he was Bob Ross, the painter. :)
The trunk or treat is one of our favorites. The kids love it because they get to see all their friends! Jeff and I pretty much like it for the same reason. :)
Waldos!
Dinner with the Hisers! Because it's tradition. :)
I kind of hate that we are doing so many of them without Jeff. But he is working hard and we appreciate all he does.
Sydney didn't want to carve her pumpkin this year... we cut off the top and she gutted it and then she just gave him a pink face and didn't want the pink cut off! :)
Tim's pumpkin is a perfect replica of his personal, original comic people.
