Slippers to school

Her second to last day of Super Stars was a pajama day. She was very excited and couldn't wait to wear her pretty slippers to school. Well, that morning we couldn't find her slippers or her slipper socks. She was pretty unhappy about it. I thought of my Sethy boy who had such a great experience with prayer and finding what he needed. It was a great moment to exercise faith and teach. So, I told her we should ask Heavenly Father to help us--she was pretty sure he wouldn't come over and look for slippers. I tried to explain and then we bowed our heads together and I offered a prayer. Within minutes we found her slipper socks and she was very happy with that. So, right after I had her say a prayer to thank Heavenly Father. She did, very sweetly--and I a bit irreverently snapped a quick picture.

Prayers

Family prayers.
My big fat head is covering Seth.
I love this bunch so much! So thankful for good traditions, like family prayer.

I can't remember if I already posted this or not... Sydney says the funniest prayers sometimes. The other night it went like this: "Thank you S, thank you Y, thank you D, thank you N, thank you E, thank you Y." And the following morning she was thankful for stop signs. :)

Prayers

Have I mentioned that I love her.
I LOVE HER!
She is pretty amazing. The hardest working four year old I have ever met in my entire life!
This is her, teaching her brothers how to behave for prayer.

Prayers

I think I witnessed one of the sweetest prayers ever tonight.   Sydney loves to pray, though it's often a bunch of jibberish with her very limited vocabulary.  So tonight when I was putting her to bed I let her say her own, without help.  She started with jabbing: "aba-da. Aba-da." And then she signed dad. "Aba-da mom." Then sign for cracker.  "Aba-da" sign for milk. "Aba-da. Amen"
When we help her and we say in the name of Jesus.... she will sign Jesus.
