Home again. Home again.

Headed home...

Everyone was so tired when we got home and this sweet boy vacuumed out the car without anyone asking him to. He's such a doll. And often the definition of a happy helper.

Vaca: one more round of Garden of the Gods

Friday we had to head home, but before we left we went back to the Garden of the Gods for one last hike--a spot we didn't get into before.

We found the kissing camels where Will and Amy were originally married.

This deer was so close to us--and not afraid of the many people around her at all.

The rock behind the deer had a bunch of markings and I had to take a picture of it because of the J + J. :)

Vaca: the rain

After dinner at Will's and our fun visit we started to drive back to the motel and this crazy intense storm hit. It poured like someone was dumping hundreds of buckets down on us.
My pictures just don't do it justice.

We weren't even close to the Motel 8 when Landon was dancing like a maniac in the back of the car because he had to pee. Jeff ran him into an Arby's and seriously had his door open for maybe two seconds.

The roads were rivers and driving meant spraying. I kept trying to get a good shot of the waves we made, but the water would hit the glass and it would just look like this.

Vaca: LINCOLN!

This post is about Lincoln. It really is. But first: Jeff. One of the reasons I love my husband, he knows how much I love my family. He knows that I need them. And this year when talking vaca ideas and knowing something huge wasn't in the future, since last year was pretty big for us--he suggested we go to Colorado Springs and meet baby Lincoln. Yep, I love him. He's brilliant, and very sweet.

And this little boy was so worth vacationing for! What a sweetie!!

Link and I became fast friends. :)
And Seth called me a baby hog all night.
He would have been the baby hog, but Lincoln found me comfier than anyone else. :)

Syd was in love and made herself Lincoln's honorary babysitter.

I love this picture, he is so cute! And Sydney took it!
Will and Amy have 3 pugs and one of them really liked Sydney, she was attacked with puppy kisses and loved every bit of it.

I sure love this nephew of mine. He is an amazing, kind, loving and loyal husband. And now a sweet daddy to boot.
The Husteds!
