Women's Conference

Becky invited me to a women's conference in Evanston. The kids and I drove to Evanston Friday night and stayed with dad. We watched old movies and looked at pictures. And had a fun night.
The next morning Landon, Seth and Sydney went to Aunt Becky's to play with Eryn and Beck and I headed to the High School.
They served breakfast. Lunch lady/Kay Bell delicious cinnamon rolls! Mmm! I've never perfected them, but yum they're good.

Mary Nickles from 2News was the keynote speaker and she was so good! So fun and positive. She's an anchorwoman, wife, mom, cancer survivor and she told us all about her family and her journey and the power of positivity.

It was so fun to see a few old friends too! My friend LornaJayne was there and so were a few of my Rock Springs friends.

Becky and I got these locket rings. They're super cute and open with a space for a picture, but don't run your hand through your hair, you'll pull out a few strands!
The Six Sisters were also there! Well, three of them. They were so fun and cute and we had a super nice little chat, they all took a business card and said they wanted to check out my book. :)

In Evanston

We left for Evanston for Thanksgiving on Wednesday. We stopped at the store to see Gma and Gpa A before they left for Richfield and then we were off to Grandpa Bell's.

Later the kids and I went to Becky's to make name places for everyone. While we were there the snow started rushing down and I was so glad we were already there. Being there and not driving made that snow storm beautiful and happy. :)

I am so thankful for my nieces. Kailey and Eryn are so sweet to my Sydney. They play and play with her and show her so much love.
Then we started up a band... we're still coming up with a name. :)

In E

We had a little birthday celebration for Tim at Grandpa Bell's house. Nothing big, just cake and lunch and a family game of apples to apples. We gave him trick candles, just to throw off the 16 year old.

Eryn apparently does not like kisses... so we all had to kiss her... several times.

We love these cousins!
It really doesn't seem to matter that there are years between Kailey, Eryn and Sydney, those girls love each other and play together and have so much fun spending time together. I'm so thankful for sweet beautiful nieces who love my girl so much.

Cowboy Days

I used to love cowboy days when I was a kid! I was excited when I got a book signing town down that brought me and the kids to E during that time. My kids have never experienced it before!
And they still wouldn't have really, except that about an hour after we got in to town Grandma and Grandpa Atkinson invited us to go down town with them. It was so much fun!

Petting zoo :)

Between me and Grandpa we got Tim to pose with a Rodeo Queen for us!
Sydney dancing with grandpa :)

Darn Landon tucked behind Grandma.
There were so many people down town. We played BINGO- because that's what grandpa used to do :) and I won! :)
Pony rides

I love my family. :)
I love making memories with them! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa!

Aunt Char

I went to Evanston Sunday night so that I could take Dad to the doctor Monday. I was so excited when I learned Jeff's Aunt Char's visit and my quick trip overlapped! I love her. She is my favorite! And I haven't seen her for years. She had never met Sydney and I was so excited to have them introduced.

And I loved watching her with her brother. Really makes me think of my relationship with my big brother!

In Evanston

Sydney and I went to Evanston last week. I had a dentist appointment. We visited Gma and Gpa, Gpa Bell and Aunt Beck had lunch with us.

Sydney Belle loves her grandma so much. She talks about her all the time. She asks to see her all the time. Sometimes she makes me pretend to be grandma. :)

We gave Aunt Beck her birthday present and had a nice long lunch with her.

Syd found these Dora toys in Grandpa's upstairs bedroom. She played with them for 2 hours. Dad and I looked through Mom's hope chest and visited--it was the nicest visit. :)

2.5 hours at plains tire

I had a dentist appointment in Evanston last week, but before we left my front two tires were low {again!!!!!}. So, I decided to have them checked out before we got on the road.
They said my tires were thread bare and totally dangerous to be driving on. Ugh. They also said my alignment was off.
My alignment is ALWAYS off!--And that's what I told them.
So, they checked things out and my van needs this part to keep it aligned. They said the problem will never be fixed without it. Both my axles need replaced, my brakes aren't great and my brake fluid has a hole in it.
So, good news. I'm not crazy. It's not all in my head!!!!
My tires and van have issues. Lots.
They got me set to go to Evanston, but the bigger more expensive problems are still there and need fixed and costs lots.

Tender mercies though!!
We didn't go to Evanston on those dangerous tires.
And the 2.5 hours we were in plains tire my girl was an angel. We took a walk to Albertons, got a donut and had a lovely time as we went.

Adventures in Evanston

A couple of weeks ago Fara and I went to Evanston for doctor visits. We stopped by Dad's. Because we were in Fara's truck he didn't recognize us and pulled away right as we were pulling up. Fara needed to nurse Hazel so we decided to go in anyway. Well, all the doors were locked so we sat on his porch to wait in the sunshine. Fara fed the baby and Sydney played. Well--for a bit she played and then suddenly she was in the house!! She had climbed in through the doggy door!! We could not coax her out and she just laughed at us.
Finally I called Dad to see how much longer until he would be home and he told me he was on his way to Utah!! O geez. Luckily we had bought cupcakes. I put one through the doggy door and coaxed her out with it. (Although she did sneak back in!!) She kept patting my dad's chair, saying "Papa". And then she sat in his chair and ignored us.
Yes, it was an exciting trip! Haha.
Sydney got to stay with grandma during my dentist appointment. She loves her grandma!!
