Sleepover

 Ken and Kim went on a couples trip and Cutler kid's grandma stayed with them for the week. But when she had to go and Ken and Kim weren't home yet, we got them for a night! My kids were thrilled! We don't do sleepovers so a slumber party with some of their best buds was a fun surprise!! They had a blast! They played and played and stayed up way too late being silly and having fun. So glad we could help our friends and make some memories!

With momma

Daddy had another out of town game and I had told this little sweetie how I used to sleep with my momma when my dad was working. She was so excited and has wanted to sleep in my bed ever since. So, finally she got to! And she was sure it was the best thing ever. It was fairly delightful! I love her and it brought back sweet memories with my own mom. I love her sweet heart, she asked me what my mom and I used to do when we slept in the same bed. I told her we always held hands, which we did. :) And so Sydney made sure we held hands. I am so thankful for this girl.

All Nighters

It was one of their summer fun goals. An all nighter.... I was going to Evanston the next day for a book signing and told them I wasn't sure it was the best night, but they assured me they wouldn't even be asleep by the time it was time to leave and then they would just sleep in the car...
They made it pretty far. 6am. And then there was NO waking them. They stayed home and Syd and I went to the book signing.

Love

Sydney is possibly the luckiest girl in the world. She has three sweet brother's who are so good to her. She wanted Seth to sleep with her--which isn't his favorite thing to do, but he said he would. I told him that when she fell asleep he could sneak out, but he didn't. He slept all night next to his little sis.

Sydney really really wanted her brother to sleep in her room. And well, it's summer, so this happened.

I got out of the shower the other morning and came out to this. She told me she was taking a nap... in the hall... after just getting up.

Sleepy Girl

Or not so sleepy.
Sometimes Sydney goes to bed... but most of the time she goes to bed and then gets out of bed half a dozen times for half a dozen reasons. This night was one of those nights.
Before I went to bed, I checked on her and apparently she had decided to ditch the bed.

O Sydney

This beautiful girl gets in bed with me every single morning. Sometimes it's at 2 a.m. and sometimes it's at 7. This was last week and it was a 2 a.m.er. She wrestled around for a good 2 hours before going back to sleep--that's why she slept in. I did love how she brought her bear and snuggled up to him though. It's a darn good thing she is so adorable!

Asleep in all the wrong places...

This silly...silly...silly girl gets up for drinks, for crackers, for potty, for songs... for anything excuse she can think of. And sometimes she'll just hide under the couch table until I see her and tell her to go to bed.

A couple weeks ago, she got up--two nights in a row and I never saw her. When I finally did, it was when I was going to bed and she was asleep--in all the wrong places! Next to her bedroom door and under the couch table. Oh, silly girl, her bed is so much more comfy.

Sydney and the Three Bears

After my sister, Kris, sent Sydney her peace bear, Sydney would sleep with it every night. It was pretty adorable. And then she added two more bears. And she would tell me in her own way: Momma Bear, Daddy Bear and Baby Bear.

They all have a place in her bed, which put her on the edge, but she doesn't care. And she's got an arm around all three.

Sleeping Beauties

Seth loves his lamp. He loves to read at night by his lamp-light.  Tonight it was still on when I went to bed at 11! But he wasn't.  Haha. He had fallen asleep reading.
Our sweet girl who started going to bed so fantastically has decided to make it difficult again. She's has been for a few weeks.  Tonight was no different.  I read her a couple books, we said prayers,  it was 9, she'd been up since 6:30 with a rendezvous between 1 and 2... she had to be tired but when I told her goodnight she scrambled out of bed, wrapped her arms and legs around my leg and cried. Bedtime is not a happy word for her these days.

At night

She goes to bed with one... then I check on her and there are always tons!! She loves her babies!

I put this sweet little girl to bed the other night and then a couple hours later when I went to bed this is what I found. :)

Halloween!

We had such a fun Halloween!

The Ring Master!

 Sydney decided to start her day at 3 a.m. ...so this was her by 10!

 

About 3 hours later she was up and hungry! ... and she was adorable... thus the lunch pics.

At first she was not so sure about the whole trunk or treat and then once a few pieces of candy got dropped in her bucket she was in heaven. She was suddenly the leader and she'd walk up to every car with her bucket outstretched.

We've spent Halloween with the Hiser's for the past 8 years now. Good times! :)

My sweet friend Fara! This girl is about 21 weeks pregnant. And I am so happy for her and her little surprise to arrive!

A couple of Jeff's soccer players stopped by. It was fun to see them.
