This post is entitled 2 for a reason.

On Sydney's 2nd day of being 2 years old she ended the day with 2 1/2 hours in the ER and 2 stitches.

She was down stairs with her brother's in the room where they aren't supposed to be! Ugh. And she tripped. Tim thinks she fell on a sledge hammer. (Yes, just give me that mother of the year award now :/ ) Double ugh. My poor baby. Tim ran her up and in seconds her face was covered in blood, seriously she looked like Carrie from the movie Carrie!--just covered! 

This picture really does zero justice to the amount of blood spilling out of her head.

Her daddy put some major pressure on it and it actually stopped bleeding on our way there.

The cut made her cry, but she got over it pretty quick. What she couldn't get over were the doctors and nurses messing with her. Every time they even walked into the room she freaked out. And then they swaddled her all up and held her head down to glue the cut shut. And that made her super angry. When the glue didn't work they did the whole thing all over again, but this time they put a needle in her head and stitched her up. Yeah, she was a bit traumatized by the whole thing. In fact she's woken up crying every night in the middle of the night since then. Poor girl.

2 little stitches.

It could have been so much worse. And as horrible as it was for her in the ER, we are just really grateful that she was okay and that the people helping us did a good job.
