No Words

I cannot even believe what I'm about to write.
Sydney and I were getting ready for school... just normal day when I got a text from my mom in law saying Jason Crompton fell in a ditch and was buried.
I didn't understand.
Jason couldn't be gone.
He couldn't be.
He was too young and a daddy and--he couldn't be.
So I wrote her back and she confirmed, he was gone. He had passed.
I was attempting to be strong for Sydney, since our day 1 of school wasn't the greatest, but I couldn't keep myself together. I sent her on the bus with myself in tears.
Life is crazy and scary and totally unreal and I don't know if this news will ever feel real.
My heart is broken for my friend Jan, for their beautiful sons who Jason loved so fiercely, for his mom and dad and brothers.
