Thanksgiving

We were at the Atkinson's for Thanksgiving. The Lehi Atkinson's were there too. It's so nice to be with family. The kids love seeing their cousins! Sydney kept inching closer and closer to Braxton until his feet were no longer on the couch, he wasn't sure he loved the close sitting situation.
The kids played with the pool table like never before.

Memorial Day weekend

We spent the rest of the weekend in Evanston with family celebrating Kristi's birthday and decorating the graves.
This is what we gave Darbee for her birthday. She loved it!

This little cutie... they say she is stingy with her kisses, but she gave me tons! :)

Kristi and I went with Ron and Kathy to Randolf to decorate Minnie's grave. Minnie is Jeff's great grandma whose journal I read that inspired Knowing Amelia.
Happy Birthday Kristi Lee!
My kiddos making their memorial day notes for our flower pots. I always love this part of our tradition. We always talk about our loved ones and the kids learn more about their grandparents and family who have passed.

We also got to see our Symes family!

On the way home Landon fell asleep on Syd and she attempted to feed him part of her seat belt. HA!
I added this picture of our lilac bush because this is how it looked on Memorial Day and this was my momma's lilac bush. It's precious to me. It grew in her yard and she loved it for as long as I can remember. I'm so glad I have part of it.
Kristi asked me to take pictures of Darbee while we were there. I haven't had my big camera out since soccer season. My phone is so darn convenient. And I'm not a photographer anyhow... anyway, I didn't realize how much I'd missed it! So in between Darbee pics I took a few other pictures as well.

Thanksgiving Part 6: Last Day at Grandma's

Our last day in Evanston we all helped Grandma decorate. All the grandkids put up and decorated their own trees.
Sweet little Braxton decorated Tanessa's... which I don't have a picture of--darn it! And then he was so cute, he claimed it. He didn't want his red and white tree, he wanted the horsey tree!

Landon stole my camera and took pictures of all the kids next to their trees. His snapshots make me chuckle.
