Green River

Jeff's assistant coach's daughter was baptized last Saturday. We've known Makaylee since she was just tiny. Jeff was out of town  coaching, but the kids and I went over.
We had a busy Saturday--we cleaned the church, went to the baptism, then the park, then the boys took care of the neighbors dog, then we fed the sister missionaries. Whew. It was a good day though.
We left a little early and we had about 30 minutes to kill before the baptism so we went to the spider park in Green River.

Green River Day 2014

This year Green River Day was short. It was a busy August for everyone, so we just did the one park. It was still fun to go somewhere new with some of our favorite people!

Look at all those kiddos!

After Green River Day!

She had so much fun.
And she was one worn out little girl!

The Girls

Love these friends of mine.

Green River Day Part 4

This poor boy slipped and fell 20 minutes in to our Spray Park adventure! He came to me upset and saying his chin hurt. I hugged him and finally looked at his chin. Ugh. I knew as soon as I saw it.
Stitches.
Ugh.
Loading up all the kids, mine + my two extra, and racing back to Rock Springs to go to the ER {after dropping off all those other kids} didn't sound like a fabulous idea to me. :/
So, one my girlfriends asked a neighboring mom about an insta-care in Green River, another got on her phone, and the other grabbed us some gauze and tape from her first aid kit!
Together they got me an appointment at Castle Rock Medical Center that very moment and they happily volunteered to keep all my kiddos.
Seriously, I have the best friends. Ever.
We rushed off to the medical center, holding his chin all the way. Within 20 minutes they had us back in a patient room.
The doctor gave Seth a couple of options, stitches or glue - with a possibility of stitches.
Of course the boy picked glue.
But luckily it took pretty well. Glue and butterfly bandages.

He was a very brave boy.

Green River Day Part 3

The Spray Park
Sydney got to sport her adorable swim suit!

The Cutlers and the Hisers joined us after lunch.

Tim's friend Brady came with us and they had a great time together.

All the kiddos!
We had only been to the park for about 20 minutes when Seth slipped and fell, he hit his chin on a bar and split it right opened. It was bad enough that I knew he'd need stitches. So for the majority of the spray park Seth and I spent at the doctor. Thankfully Green River's Castle Rock Medical Center got us in right away. They were great. And my sweet friends took care of all my kiddos left behind. Apparently Sydney was a very happy camper. I'm so thankful for the help we had.
