Bear Lake with my gals

Sweet Stacey invited us all to Bear Lake. Her f.i.l. owns a house there and she asked if we wanted to stay the night and go to the Pickleville Palace with her to watch their production. So fun!! All, but Kim could go, darn it.

We kind of turned into teenagers. We were so silly and had so much fun.

And this show... it was so funny! And that Stacey- she decided to give it us all as our birthday gifts. Best gift ever!

We even had fun throwing the garbage away in the morning. I drove a golf cart for the first time. :) haha
Love these ladies! So thankful I have them in my life!!

Bear Lake HS reunion 2015

My high school girlfriends and I met up again this year. Our two missing girls made it this year! Lorna reserved her Bear Lake house for us and it was such a blast! It was so wonderful to see everyone--and to see everyone again!
Jack and Landon's little friendship just started up right where it left off.

This sweet girl is Lorna's #2, Ellie. She was seriously a doll to Sydney. So sweet and kind. And Sydney adored her. She wanted to bring Ellie home with us! And she was so sad to leave her.
We hadn't been there long when the kids were ready to go to the lake, so we all changed and the kids got a head start down. By the time I got down there I could see Seth was floating too far out, alone in Lorna's Styrofoam canoe. I yelled for him to come back, but he couldn't hear me. Landon came in and said Seth was in the deep water, where Landon could no longer reach and he didn't have any ores. I was getting scared, but I didn't let myself panic--yet. I started to swim out to him, but there was a breeze and with that boat weighing hardly anything, he was floating away much too fast. I hurried back to shore, a little more panicked and Jenalee and I rushed over to a boat about 1/8 of a mile away from us. They were seconds away from leaving when I ran on the dock and asked them for help. They were so kind. They drove me out to my little boy who was even farther out now and with the boat so light, Seth got on board and they held the Styrofoam boat at the back and zoomed us in to shore. Seth was so scared. It was a really good teaching moment for us. When I asked him what he did, he said he just prayed that someone would come help him. I am so glad he knows to pray, that he has faith in prayer. And I am most especially grateful both of our prayers were answered.
Yikes.
and
Whew. Scary.
Thankfully after our scary start we were still able to enjoy a few hours at the lake. There was even a pool of water, a mound of sand and then the lake. So, the kids could still play in the boat--just in the pool that was separated from the lake.

Jenalee called this Sydney's signing class. And Ellie was so cute, she excitedly told me that Sydney was teaching her sign language!

We had a little too much fun recreating pictures!

It kind of feels like we've been friends forever. :)
