A note to Heilish :)

I really do love this sweet girl. I love her momma so much. We couldn't send her much, so I wanted to send her something silly-funnish too. :)

Beautiful girl, 20$ doesn’t go too far these days, but that’s what we’re giving you… so I thought I would also give you 20 pieces of super fabulous advice.

And P.S. I love you!   H Jen

1.         Don’t date boys who are stupid- stupid boys will one day be stupid husbands.

2.     Always remember the invaluable instruction from you past Young Women’s presidents (a.ka. Your mom and me!)

3.      Take this $20 and buy extra underwear… more underwear mean less laundry days.

4.     Look out for “No Parking” signs on campus… they like to hide them behind trees and then they give nice girls like you and me parking tickets.

5.      Never try to be anyone, but YOU… why would you? You’re so stinking fabulous as it is.

6.     Buy flip flops to wear in the shower. Seriously, my shower floor that desperately needs cleaned is less scary than a dorm community shower floor. YIKES!

7.     Don’t just study. Okay, TOTALLY study… don’t be like someone’s dumb future husband. But, have fun!

8.      Go ahead and date the future missionaries… the boys who haven’t left yet… give them something to dream about while their gone. :)

9.      Get a journal and use it! You will love remembering and laughing at yourself in years to come… as well as burning a few of the passages. It’s a good time.

10.    Don’t eat Pop-Tarts for breakfast. Sure, they are delicious, especially the chocolate chip ones, but they won’t sustain you! Have some oatmeal for heaven’s sake!

11.         Don’t stress if you don’t love your major/classes- you are there to figure out what you love and gifts you didn’t realize you’d been blessed with.

12.    Call your mom. A lot!!

13.     Stay away from boys named Bo. The end.

14.    Smile at strangers. Your smile is catching and welcoming and it’ll make you a many friends! :)

15.     Take pictures. Print them! Put them in an album and frames.

16.     Go to the institute. Make it your second home. Church. Clalss. Play. Be there!

17.     Jam out. Turn it up. Dance.

18.      Read. And not just what your professors assign. :)

19.     If your roommate often borrows a pair of your favorite church shoes- beware… she will probably steal them when you go your separate ways. -{I know what you did, Kris Cox!}-

20.Pray. Often.
