ARC

It stands for Advanced Reader Copy. My publisher sends out a bunch of copies of my book to different authors, publishers, educators... people to review the book. It takes about 4 months, but it's an important part of the process. Jo, my publisher asked me for my list of ARC's (she has a list of her own as well), and I responded with "ahhhh...." Ya, I don't know any book reviewer type people... then again, I guess I do. Jo said any other author or educator type people that I know. 

I know a couple that would probably count-- so, my sister the literacy coach got one and my dear friend Heidi, the educator/English lover/grammar guru got one.

Becky got her copy and sent me a text right away.

Heidi got her copy and ran it right over to me.

It's the wrong cover, but it was pretty darn amazing holding a book in my hands that was mine... every word inside I've written!

Heidi and I were very excited... and a bit giddy and Kris took pictures of our jumping for joyness.
