I got my first response for my book today. I got a little too excited and a little too anxious. I'm not exactly brand new to this writing buisiness. So, I should know better. I need more experience for sure. Anyway, ya, it was a rejection letter. A very kind rejection letter, but still . . . O well, most writers the first time you get published or even second and third it takes a while. It takes quite a few publisherst to get the right one. I've only sent my book off to two thus far. A have a couple more that look right for my book that I am still preparing to send it in to.
I guess I was just hoping for even a . . . . hey we want you to work on this and this and this and resubmit, because that's what they do if they like your book and think it has potential, but needs a little extra editing.
Ok, my pity party is over. Back to work.

Oh Jen - I am so bummed for you! If I were a publisher, I would DEFINITLEY publish your book! They are idiots! (We don't say idiots :)) Some smart publisher that has a clue, will come along and adore your book as much as the rest of us, I know it!! Keep writing!!!! Love you!
that is just one opinion (not a very good one) think of all of us who love the book and are waiting for the next fix. love you my sweet sister.
