Jeff & Sam

Sam & Jeff
These boys were born my freshman year in college.
I was a lot of things back then, but one of my favorite was being called "Aunt". And I could not wait to be an Aunt again by these boys. They were born 1 month and 1 week apart.
And I think they've been best friends since then.

Jeff was born March 4. After the loss of his beautiful sister, we were all nervous and anxious and incredibly impatient for this boy to arrive. I stood outside the hospital room with my mom. I watched her pace back and forth in front of the door and tried to convince her that everything would be fine... would be perfect.
And when we heard that little boy cry, we hugged and sobbed, so grateful and so happy our Jeffrey Wolfe was here. He was safe. He was healthy. And most of all he was loved.

A month and week later I was back at college, waiting for that phone call to tell me my big sister and best friend was having her baby. On April 11th at 6am, my phone rang. It was way too early for a college girl, who's first class began at 10am and who liked to stay up way too late.
It was my sister Becky.
Our Samuel Scott had come into this world!
I was so happy.
I was so excited.
I was so anxious to meet that precious little boy.
I was also exhausted.
So, I lay back down and went back to sleep. And hours later when I was up and getting ready for the day, I thought to myself, didn't someone call me this morning?
How weird, why would someone call me?
And then it hit my, my baby nephew was born!!!!
I almost didn't believe it, I thought it was a dream.
Once I finally convinced myself it was real, I felt horrible for forgetting and I wrote a big HAPPY BIRTHDAY Sam sign and hung it up in my dorm room.
As soon as I was able, I was home and holding that beautiful boy.

And now these two are graduating.
I can't believe it.
Last Saturday I went to Big Piney and took their Senior pictures.
I was nervous. I've never done boys pics before.
But their both pretty adorable and with a little prayer and wonderful subjects--yep, it all turned out great.
