FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL

Our first day of school... very exciting for them and honestly a bit more emotional for me than I thought it would be.

Here is my great big Kingergarten boy. He was thrilled and he did fabulous. The Kindgergartners go right into the cafeteria and they can eat a snack from home while waiting for their teachers. So, Landon had wanted to bring drinkable yogurts. So, we were sitting there and I made him open it because I won't be there to do it for him tomorrow! And he was having a hard time. He finally broke the top open and half the drink sloshed all over him! His new shirt was covered as well as his back pack and lunch box. But he was happy- "I did it! I opened it." :) -- Still we won't be taking those as our snack anymore.

My great big fourth grade boy. I was nervous for him-- new school and all. He was brave and walked right out on the playground in search of a familiar face. He found a boy I'd never seen before and they chatted til the bell rang. His teacher didn't come out to greet her kids, so that made me a bit uncomfortable, I still didn't have a face with the name. Also, all the boys I saw standing in line with him had mow-hawks and earrings-- I seriously got nervous adn started to tear up. But without even a goodbye he ran off into class.

My boys!
Needless to say being the worrier mom that I am I fretted a bit the whole day- especailly over Tim. I was so happy when I picked them up. Landon was happy as could be, he had a great day and played on the playground "a whole 3 times!!" And Tim couldn't stop talking he was so excited about everything. I was so relieved and so thankful. He really likes his teacher. We walked around the whole outside of the building til we foudn her so I could meet her. She's adorable, its her first year and she happily told me that my husband taught her Spanish in high school. ---Wow, I feel old. But my boys had a great day, so I'm happy.

That is good yours and their first day went well. You are not old she was just young like Elaine said.

You have such handsome boys! Perhaps Landon & Courtney could be a match made in heaven when they get bigger!

I am so glad that they had a great first day. It makes me a little teary to read your blog, don't know why but those boys are so special to me. They both looked so handsome on their first day too. I can't believe Landon is that old.
