I've had to retire a few things lately and it makes me sad. My very very favorite pair of jeans are a pair that Fara gave me a couple of years ago and I love them. I wore them even though they had holes in the knees and thighs and a little one in the croch. When that hole split though, I had to put them down and I wanted to cry. They were cute, they were comfy.
This yellow jacket is one that my "church dad" gave to me back in high school. It was his mom's and my friend (his daughter) Ruby and I were being big dorks and trying on her grandma's clothes. . . then we went out ... to the Maverick I think, anyway, that's a whole other story. While being big dorks I found this jacket, fell in love with it and he gave it to me. I've been living in it ever since. It is horribly dirty and has holes all over, but I LOVE IT! It needs to retire, but I'll probably hold out a couple more years. :)

I can't believe you still have that jacket. It is so old it is almost in style again - well not quite but almost.
I feel your pain. I hate retiring clothes that you love. I got rid of a lot when we moved cuz I was only keeping them for sentimentel reasons and didn't want to move them to WY.
ah I hate retiring certain clothes too. Great modeling too by the way :)
How funny, I have a picture of all of us dressing up in "Grandma and Grandpa clothes" from that night. (we really were big dorks.) I can't believe you still have the jacket.
Jen I mourn your losses.
