Young Women

I saw one of my old YW girls in the grocery store this morning, Marianne Bawden. She's a sweet girl who still looks like she's 12 when really she's about 20. She was super excited and hugged me and then showed me her ring. She'd just gotten engaged, minutes earlier at the IHOP. I'm very happy for her. She introduced me to her husband-to-be as her old beehive leader. Yes, I felt a bit old.

This got me thinking about Young Women's though. I've been in this program a long time. (Funny, you think I'd be better at it by now.) I am now the YW president and I am truely grateful for the women I've worked with in the past, who've taught me a great deal.

The first President I worked with was Elaine Huntsman- she's a great gal who taught me to have fun and stay young with the girls
Second President, Kristi Young- Kristi is an excellent teacher and taught me the power a well taught lesson can have.
Third Presdien, Carol Edman- I didn't work with Carol very long, but her quiet and sweet disposition taught me a lot
Fourth, Amy Smith- Amy is selfless person and she taught that loving them is the most imporant thing you can do. Love them and don't judge them.
Fifth, Samantha Conover- Sam is an incredible president who taught me that organization will take you a long way and if you call them, txt them, contact them they will respond to you.

I've worked with a dozen other gals in presidencies who've taught me a ton too, I couldn't name them all if I tried. But I love them and I'm thankful for these wonderful women's influence on me.
