THE AUCTION

fOR Scouts Tim had to bake a cake and then it would be auctioned off at the Blue and Gold Banquet.

Here he is coloring the coconut.

We decided to do an island cake. Here he is frosting it. And here's Landon whispering to him "Steady Tim, steady." over and over and over again.

Here's the finished product! Who wouldn't want to buy a cake with blue coconut, chedder goldfish, and a monkey on top?



Brother Rawson was our auctineer (probably didn't spell that right). :) Timwent up with his cake and told all about it. He did a good job. Then the auction started. It went for $25.00, Tim was a little dissapointed, other cakes went for like $40 or $50, there was one other that went for 20. Still, not too bad for a monkey infested goldfish cake.

This boy kept bidding on cakes!!! And Brother Rawson accepted kid's bids if their parents were in the room. Here I am trying to pull his hand down. I did not want to spend 60 bucks on a cake! I seriously had to hold his hand down the whole hour, it popped up for every bid! We did come home with a cake because of Seth too! So, he did get one, but still bid even after we had bought one. Guess which one he bought??

Yep, that one.
