Sydney went to Sunbeams for the first time today! I was pretty worried about my beautiful girl because she loves her nursery class so very much. She can't wait to go to church to play with Jason and Kathie and the kids. So, I really wasn't sure how today would go over.
Last week I made sure her two teachers had a list of her signs and told them a little about her. And then today, I fasted for her. We needed some spiritual intervention and so I was trying everything I could to get it.
She did amazing!!
She ended up in a different class because her nursery leader Kathie got moved up to Sunbeams and said she wouldn't move up unless Sydney was in her class. Haha. --I'm glad Sydney has a teacher that loves her so much!
But she did amazing!! They said she was by far the best little sunbeam. She sat through all of opening exercises while the other little sunbeams ran around. Haha--that's not exactly uncommon for little ones transitioning, but I was so glad she did well. I got to peek at her while she was in class and she was sitting so sweetly and listening. But mostly afterwords, when we picked her up, she was just so happy and she loved the handout she made.
What a huge blessing. I was so grateful!
Earlier in the week, we brought by flyers to the church and Sydney practiced giving a primary talk. ;)
