Eagle Project

Way back in March Tim and I started talking about his Eagle project. He had a couple of ideas. One was something for the NOWCAP center where I teach my special needs friends. I asked the manager what they needed and he mentioned vegetable boxes.
It kind of felt like FOREVER before we got the ball rolling though.
And the paper work prove to be a little horrendous.
But finally! on November 8th, we had our paper work done, our 5 (Yes FIVE!) approving signatures, our funds raised and our materials purchased!
Tim had four scouts, 1 leader and 2 parents show up to help.
It was just the right number too.
He did a great job leading the activity and the building went super smoothly.

The boys built the bench with Tim instructing and zero help from the adults!

Three days later, Jeff, Tim and I delivered everything to the NOWCAP center. It all fit perfectly. It was one of the coldest days of the year, negative degrees. The soil froze and so did we! But it was fun to see his hard work in place.

Now, more paper work, signatures and board of reviews.
Then a court of honor and this boy will be an Eagle Scout!

NICE WORK! I love an Eagle Scout project. Also, where can I get some of those AWESOME hats Tim is wearing toward the bottom?! I know some especially fabulous Westerns that need some of those for Christmas!!!
