Silly Landon

Yesterday: Landon said the dinner prayer.

He starts out, "My mother told. . . oh oh Heavenly Father. . . "
So after the prayer I asked him what on earth he'd started out with, he said, "My mother told me to pick the right one and you are not it!"
Today: Dinner table talk.
I'm asking the boys what they learned about at church. Seth says "forks" for some reason he always answers that he learned about forks. Anyway, Landon says that he learned about Prophets and Missionaries.
That's great so I ask him, "do you want to go on a mission."
"Yeah," he says.
I ask, "What does a missionary do Landon." (by the way, we've talked about missionaries a ton before, jeff just gave a fhe on missionary work and showed the boys all his pics)
Well, his answer was, "They hunt for tigers, bears, spiders, stuff like that."
Me: "they hunt??"
Landon: "Yep"
Me: "Uh, don't they teach about Jesus?"
Landon, "Nah, just hunt."

Interesting, I guess they would hunt if they needed to eat desperately, I wonder who his primary teacher is? Very funny.

It's in Jeremiah or something right? Hunters and fishers of men. Maybe he knows more than he's letting on. Can't help with the forks though, I mean unless he's philosophically talking about coming to a fork in the road (life) and deciding which path to take? Maybe you should start calling Landon Leonardo (da Vinci) and Seth Socrates. You might have a couple of geniuses on your hands. ;)

Isn't great when you think they must be getting something you've been teaching them only to realize maybe not. I'm sure it will all come together eventually :)

Funny stuff. At least he's pro mission. He can figure out what it's all about when he hits the MTC. :)
